A Course In Miracles Study Group

"In you is all of Heaven. Every leaf that falls is given life in you. Each bird that ever sang will sing again in you, and every flower that ever bloomed has saved its perfume and its loveliness for you." - A Course In Miracles - Text 527

The Course begins, “This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time. The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.

This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.”

Our Course In Miracles group is focused on the study of the text of the Course. We  engage in discussion centered on what we've learned, and how to practically apply the principles contained within the work to our everyday existence.

Our group provides a safe and loving environment for the beginner or the lifelong Course practitioner - All Are Welcome Here!

Our Course Study Group meets at 7:00 PM each Thursday evening at the home of Kevin & Stephanie York.  For more information call Kevin at (508) 428-6248.

Directions

Take Exit 5 off the Mid-Cape Highway (Route 6) and turn toward Marstons Mills.  This would be a left if you were coming from Dennis/Yarmouth, or right if you were coming from Sandwich. Go down a short distance from the exit and bear right onto Route 149.  Follow 149 until you come to a small roundabout - - the Olde Barnstable Fair Grounds golf course will be on your left, and the grass-strip Cape Cod Airport will be on your right. Enter the roundabout at 6 o'clock and exit it at 9 o'clock - - you will be headed down Race Lane towards Centerville. Go just a couple of hundred yards and you will see Columbia Avenue on your right - - we are two houses down on the right AFTER Columbia Avenue.  There is a wooden mailbox just before our driveway with the numbers 651 in brass letters and a blue reflector on the box post.

It is always best to park in the rear of the house if the driveway is full.  To get to the rear of the house, take a right on Columbia and an immediate left onto Webster Road.  If you are coming down Race Lane from Centerville, take a left on Willimantic and an immediate right on Webster.  The house is about half-way down the street with a eight-foot cedar fence behind it.  The back gate will be open on Thursday evenings.
